Our Accommodations in Wells are adjacent to one of  two local General Stores, Fuel is nearby.  We've two local pubs, one with the largest private scotch collection in BC. Island Mountain Arts offers art schools year-round, and the Sunset Theatre offers theatre throughout the winter, and on a full schedule through the summer.  In addition to the Bear's Paw, you can eat at 3 other great restaurants in Wells, and 2 more seasonal restaurants in the summer.  Wells has a fresh bread bakery once a week and farmers markets in the summer.

In Barkerville, there are 3 restaurants with high ratings on Trip Advisor. In addition to a variety of shops and services where purchases can be made, it's also home to Theatre Royal, with two shows daily and evening shows on the weekend.
